all I want for xmas...

almost december, and its christmas time:) I hope this year my family will have a good christmas. Last year was bad, ryu's nanny ran away from my home, and it made me and my husband had to have christmas time without ryu, because we sent him to stay with my mom which lived so far away from here...
last night I took out my box of xmas ornaments from the storage, so happy to see those green n red things:) I want a chrismas tree so bad... and maybe still not to buy it this year for some reason... so I think I'll make a simple tree myself, no idea yet... maybe later, or you have ideas to share?:)

Else I want for christmas is gifts!!! i love gifts!

I found this via creaturecomforts, look at the cute ribbons, there's eraser stamp tutorial at her blog, and I plan to try, wish me luck:D

caps capture

still about trashion accessories, I'll tell you how to make a necklace from plastic bottle cap:)
what you need for this project:
• 3 caps (I use AQUA's, you can use another)
• chain, the lenght is up to you
• fabric... or rug is better, coz we're in recycle project:D
• beads or button

how to:
1. wrap the bottle cap with your rug, cover the whole part of the cap, do the same to the rest. (picture 2)
2. put some beads inside the wrapped bottle caps with glue. (picture 3)
3. sew the caps in the position you like, and give it a chain, and...? done!:)

trashion#2

the old saying, "one person's trash is another person's treasure", but I'll begin with my own trash. My son's milk is sustagen junior from mead johnsons. the lid is plastic in white color, it's quite easy to cut into shape. and hopplaaaa.. trallaaaaa! a necklace!! I wear it to office today:) hopefully someday I can use the whole part of the milk can, need more material knowledge:D

for now, let me explore unused lids, would you send me yours? whatever plastic lids you have, better come in colors, such yellow from chil kid, purple from pediasure, orange from bebelac:D

trashion#1

What is trashion? Trashion is a philosophy and an ethic encompassing environmentalism and innovation. Making traditional objects out of recycled materials can be trashion, as can making avant-garde fashion from cast-offs or junk. It springs from a desire to make the best use of limited resources. Trashion is similar to upcycling and refashion, although it began with specific fashion aspirations. Like upcycling, trashion generates items that are valued again, but these may be low-cost or high-cost, perhaps depending on the skill of the artist. -wikipedia-

Found myself being in such interest for trashion since I went to pasar seni ITB last month. I saw the final of trashion design contest held by Unilever there. It gave a big effect for me, came home with big thought, something to do to with the trash and my accessories. trashion brings a lot of good things for future, poverty reduction, a better living, and of course a greener earth less of waste!

plastic pleasure

it was holiday yesterday. being at home is always a pleasure, longer sleeping time, play hour with my son, cooking, and me time^_^ me time is important, tough only sit and do nothing... but yesterday the idea came in a sudden...
I went to the kitchen, searched for colorful plastic bag... what for? for flowers. Again? yes!:p here they are...

at the fasade

What is your house number made from? mine was used to be made from wood... till one day i found a very big family of ants lived happily inside. Since then I decided to make a new house number myself. Here it is, from clay, it's not as good as I want it to be, but still like it^_^:p

I have another story about insects:p The bamboo windchime is from a friend, I'll show you what it's like before...

mosquito is a friend of ant, right? me not likey both. with the help of acrylic, I covered all the mosquito parts, draw the leaves and flowers on. I think it looks better now:D

bobbibow #1

Hello! let me introduce BOBBIBOW!^_^ My friend said my face always turned very weird everytime I entered a ribbon store, kind of blinkin' or somewhat she just couldn't explain, and of course I never left the store without buying. This Bobbibow project is dedicated to girls out there. You can clip it on your hair or your daughter's, pin it to your t-shirt, or make it a necklace. It's all up to you. Write to me if you interested, give me more reason for buying ribbons without feeling guilty:p

rug cuties

Weeks ago my workmate asked my lil' help for her greenfest project. The project was about recycling and what she brought me was some old unwearable clothes and rugs, they were smelly! really!:p and then... with the help of colourful buttons, pins, chains, and BIG inspiration from decor8, i made them^_^

They're not anymore ugly and smelly, they're cute! do you think so?:D
